Police investigating theft from City of Lacombe public works yard
The Lacombe Police Service is investigating a break and enter and theft that happened near a City of Lacombe facility last week.
Police say between 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 6, and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, the suspect or suspects broke into the City of Lacombe public works yard by cutting a hole in the fence at the facility at at 5444 56 Avenue in Lacombe.
While there, police allege the suspect(s) stole two pieces of equipment including a champion generator and an ammann 4-stroke jumping jack. The equipment is valued at approximately $5,000.
The Lacombe Police Service is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the timeframe of the theft to contact the Lacombe Police Service at 403-782-3279 or your local police agency.
