UPDATE: Three Hills RCMP respond to fatal collision on Highway 27

Officers of the Drumheller RCMP detachment are sending their deepest condolences to the family and friends of a Saskatchewan teen who died in a single vehicle rollover on Thursday.

On July 31, 2025, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Three Hills RCMP officers responded to an abandoned, rolled vehicle on Highway 27 east of the Morrin Bridge.

Upon arrival, Mounties say a lone male occupant was located. Unfortunately, the driver was declared deceased on scene.

According to police, two local fire departments, EMS and Drumheller RCMP members also attended.  The incident resulted in the shut down of the highway for several hours while officers investigated.   

RCMP say the sole occupant of the sedan was identified as a 17-year-old male from Saskatchewan. There were no other involved vehicles or persons.

Mounties say the circumstances of the collision reman under investigation. 

The Three Hills RCMP are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 27 between Range Road 211 and Range Road 313a.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and to expect delays. An update will be provided when the scene is cleared.
