2025 Alberta Men’s Senior Championship wraps up at Wolf Creek Golf Resort

Calgary’s Kevin Temple, who represented Country Hills Golf Club, was named champion of the 2025 Alberta Men’s Senior Championship on Thursday.

The tournament, which took place at Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka from July 29-31, featured plenty of great golf.

Temple won the tournament after shooting four-over par through three rounds, which concluded with an even par 70 performance in the final round on Thursday.

He claimed the title by three strokes over defending champion David Schultz, who’s also from the Country Hills Golf Club.

Temple chipped in a shot for birdie on the first hole followed by an important par on the 18th hole to secure the victory.

Red Deer’s Ken Griffith finished tied for sixth after shooting 14-over par and Red Deer’s Jean-Francois Doyon finished 10th overall after shooting 18-over par.

Meantime, Red Deer’s Peter Innes (24-over par), Lacombe’s Greg Gigliuk (24-over par), Red Deer’s Lee Grant (25-over par), Red Deer’s Arthur Pendle (27-over par), Red Deer’s Len Powell (29-over par), Ponoka’s Leon Sulzle (33-over par), and Olds’ Mark Schultz (34-over par) also competed in the championship tournament.
