Red Deer County council to hold special closed meeting on forensic audit

Red Deer County Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, July 21 at 8:30 a.m. to consider the subject of a forensic audit in a closed session.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers at the Red Deer County Centre but will be closed to the public, with the item protected under the Access to Information Act.

Once the meeting is over, council will have various options including continuing the item on another day or concluding it.

To ensure public transparency, the county will provide updates on the status of the matter, they say.

“This special meeting underscores our commitment to addressing pressing matters, to ensure that decisions are made with full transparency and public knowledge,” the county says. “Red Deer County remains committed to proactive and transparent governance.”
