City shares cause of power outage in north Red Deer

A power outage in north Red Deer the evening of Monday, July 14 was caused by a bird on a power pole.
The outage occurred around 5 p.m. and affected areas of Pines and Normandeau more significantly, plus some other small areas.
About 3,000 customers were affected.
Power has since been restored.
