A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Lacombe man accused of sexually assaulting a pair of underage girls.

Kyle Gordon Sinclair, 42, is scheduled to find out if his case has enough evidence to go to trial in Red Deer Court of Justice on April 22, 2026.

Sinclair is currently facing four charges including two counts of sexual assault, and two counts of sexual interference. Two counts of luring a child, one count of assault-chokes, and one count of obtaining sex services for consideration were withdrawn on July 8, 2025.

Police responded to a report in December 2024 alleging that Sinclair, who was 41-years-old at the time, had allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl.

After an investigation, police determined the man had formed an online relationship with the girls through a social media chat platform, which led to in-person meetings.

The assaults allegedly occurred during those in-person meetings at a residence in Lacombe and at a location outside the city.

Sinclair was originally released from custody with several court-imposed conditions following his arrest. However, according to Alberta Justice, his bail was revoked on June 23, 2025.

Sinclair’s current list of conditions include no contact or communication with the alleged victims, to not have or possess any firearms, cross bows, prohibited devices, ammunition or explosive substances, no communication with any female under 16-years-old (with a few exceptions), to not be employed or volunteer in any capacity that would put him in a position of trust or authority with a person under 16, no access to any online dating apps, and no access to the social media platform “SnapChat”, among others.
