During the federal election, one of Mark Carney’s most common slogans was “a plan beats no plan.” Conservatives wholeheartedly agree. That’s why it’s so unacceptable that the Prime Minister and his Liberal government did not table a federal budget and don’t plan to introduce a budget this year.

As Canadian families struggle with rising costs and businesses face the crushing weight of American tariffs, this government is shirking its responsibilities. In the face of severe economic threats from President Donald Trump. There is no roadmap forward, no economic vision, and no willingness to lead. This is not the leadership Canadians were promised.

I am also honoured to share that I have been appointed to serve on the House of Commons Health Committee. I look forward to working on this committee to speak up on the healthcare issues that matter to Red Deerians – from rural physician shortages to mental health access and long wait times – and to ensure our local perspectives are part of the national discussion.

The people of Red Deer expect their Member of Parliament to not only hold the government to account but also to work collaboratively to advance local priorities. Over the past session, I have met with Ministers and invited several to visit Red Deer to tour our great city and its surrounding areas. I have also met with MPs from all parties to ensure that Red Deer’s voice is heard in Ottawa. Whether it is advocating for housing, economic growth, infrastructure improvements, or public safety, my focus remains on building relationships that will deliver real results for our community.

Over the summer, I look forward to meeting with families, farmers, small businesses, and community leaders to hear your concerns and ideas. My promise remains unchanged: to be your strong, united voice in Ottawa, working with anyone and everyone to make life better for Red Deer.
