Majority of Central Alberta crops rated good to excellent
The proportion of crops rated in good to excellent condition is 71 per cent for major crops and 72 per cent for all crops in the Central Alberta region.
That according to the latest Crop Report from Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) and the Government of Alberta.
The report indicates the development of crops is mostly reported as booting for spring cereals, rosette for canola, and 7-12 node for dry peas.
Progress on the first-cut of hay is reported as 29 per cent for dryland.
