The Lacombe Police Service has arrested a man on drug related offences after a resident observed what was believed to be a drug transaction last month.

On June 27 at approximately 1 p.m., police found the individuals involved and took them into custody.

During the investigation, police found a bag with drugs such as methamphetamine, fentanyl, and several knives. They also discovered additional evidence police say are indicative of drug trafficking including digital scales, packaging materials, and a ledger used to record drug transactions.

As a result, a 30-year-old Lacombe resident was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, and failure to comply with a probation order.

He was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is set for July 4.
