Mole Mobile to hold skin cancer screenings this Saturday in Red Deer
Red Deer residents hoping to get their skin checked for potential skin cancer will get an opportunity this weekend.
On Saturday, June 28 at Save-On-Foods on 300-3020 22nd Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mole Mobile presented by Melanoma Canada will offer skin checks in their mobile skin cancer screening unit on wheels.
Melanoma Canada created the initiative to visit major Canadian cities with long wait times to see a dermatologist to speed up the time to diagnosis. Officials say this is important in improving outcomes for patients.
No appointments are needed and will take patients on a first-come first-served basis. Those who utilize the service will get their skin checked by Red Deer-based dermatologist, Dr. Tetyana Khlabatyn.
