Lacombe Police Service investigating alleged theft

The Lacombe Police Service is searching for a man allegedly responsible for stealing a backpack that had collectible trading cards and personal items in it.

Police say the items in the bag are valued at approximately $1,500.

The alleged incident happened on June 18 at approximately 1:47 p.m. when a man stole a black backpack with a brown leather bottom from a table outside of the Amazing Wonders Emporium in Lacombe after the victim had briefly left it unattended..

Surveillance footage captured the unknown suspect taking the backpack and leaving the area.

He is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 30-years-old, 5’11” tall with a slim build and last seen wearing a ball cap, jeans, and a coat.
