Lacombe County to close section of Range Road 24-5 in July for bridge construction

Lacombe County is alerting the public that a section of Range Road 24-5 will be closed starting July 21 because of bridge construction.

Crews will begin bridge replacement work on bridge file 1759 that’s located over Parlby Creek.

The road will be closed to through traffic but local traffic will be able to access it. The County says the closure is necessary to complete the demolition and construction of the new bridge safely

The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 1 as long as the weather cooperates. The detour routes will be marked and signage will be displayed to guide motorists around the construction area.

Lacombe County reminds all drivers to obey posted signage and use caution when traveling in the area.
