Ponoka residents invited to provide input on 2026 budget at upcoming Coffee with Council event

Residents of Ponoka will be able to provide input on the 2026 Town of Ponoka Budget at a Coffee with Council event on July 9.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ponoka Farmers Market in the parking lot at Lions Centennial Park, citizens are invited for coffee or tea to share their ideas.

People are also invited to fill out a citizen input survey online by visiting the budget open house webpage.

To fill out the online survey, citizens will be asked to register for the Let’s Talk Ponoka site by providing their email and postal code.

The survey asks residents to share the top priorities they think are important for consideration in the upcoming budget.

If preferred, residents can also pick up a paper copy of the survey at the town office, Ponoka aquaplex, and the Ponoka Arena Complex during regular business hours.

The completed surveys can then be dropped off at those facilities, mailed to the Town of Ponoka, or they can be placed in the drop box located just inside the west doors of the Ponoka Civic Centre.

The Citizen Input Survey will remain open to public input at these locations and online until Thursday, August 21.

Input that is collected from the survey and from public feedback received during the Coffee with Council event will be summarized and presented to town council during budget deliberations Nov. 26-28, 2025.
