Update: Ponoka RCMP advise of traffic disruption on QEll

Update: As of 12:40 p.m., the Ponoka RCMP reported that the scene is now clear and normal traffic has resumed.

Ponoka RCMP are advising there is a large police presence in the southbound lanes of the QE11, at Township Road 414, south of Morningside.

Mounties say traffic is moving through, but at a very slow pace.

Motorists are asked to please avoid the area if possible.

Police say an update will be sent when the scene is cleared.
