The Lacombe Police Service has arrested a 42-year-old man in connection to the alleged sexual assault of two underage girls.

As a result, Kyle Gordon Sinclair is facing multiple charges including two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of luring a child, two counts of assault by choking, suffocation, or strangulation and one count of obtaining sexual services for consideration.

Police responded to a report in December 2024 alleging that Sinclair, who was 41-years-old at the time, had allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl.

After an investigation, police determined the man had formed an online relationship with the girls through a social media chat platform, which led to in-person meetings.

The assaults allegedly occurred during those in-person meetings at a residence in Lacombe and at a location outside the city.

Sinclair has been released from custody under several court-imposed conditions, which prevent him from attending public swimming pools, schools or school yards, daycares, playgrounds, youth shelters, or public libraries.

He is also not allowed to have any nonincidental or non-employment related contact with anyone under the age of 16 and cannot access or use any form of social media.

Initially, Sinclair was released to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on January 15, 2025. His next scheduled court appearance is set for June 27.
