Sentencing set for pair charged in Ponoka teen’s death
Sentencing dates have been set for two Wetaskiwin residents charged in the death of a young Ponoka man three years ago.
Adam James Cook, 30, and Morgan Maslin, 23, are each charged with one count of manslaughter and both scheduled for sentencing in Wetaskiwin Court of King‘s Bench from July 30-31, 2025.
It was on July 8, 2022, at 8:25 p.m., when Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to a report of an altercation on 40 Avenue, east of 56 Street in Wetaskiwin.
When first responders arrived on scene, RCMP say they located a male with life-threatening injuries. Mounties say the victim, identified as Antwon Bull, 19, of Ponoka, succumbed to his injuries later that evening in hospital.
