Rebels to face Oil Kings in home opener

The Red Deer Rebels first matchup of the 2025-26 Western Hockey League (WHL) season has now been set.

On Sept. 19, they will welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings to the Centrium for the home opener at 7 p.m.

This will mark the 10th time the Oil Kings visit Red Deer for the home opener with the Rebels posting a 5-3-1 record.

The next day, the Rebels will head to Edmonton to face the Oil Kings in their home opener at Rogers Place.

The remaining regular season schedule will be announced later this month.
