Ponoka RCMP searching for vehicle that fled scene after collision on QEII

Ponoka RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle collision.

On May 29 at 2:07 p.m. RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving two semi tractor trailer units.

The Mounties investigation revealed that the collision happened because a vehicle was partially parked in the driving lane under the overpass on the QEII and Township Road 455.

Police say the suspect vehicle, described as a blue or black Toyota Highlander, left the scene after the collision.

RCMP are asking for help identifying the vehicle or for dashcam footage of southbound Highway 2 just north of the Bear Hills Casino from 1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. on May 29.
