City of Red Deer extends transit fare assistance pass renewal date

The City of Red Deer has announced the deadline for the transit fare assistance pass renewal date has been extended to the end of June.

Transit users have until June 30 to renew the pass which provides riders a monthly pass for just $34.

The city says only 34 per cent of current passholders have renewed their applications and if not renewed, more than 1,000 riders will lose access.

To renew, they can fill out an online application or can complete it in person at Sorensen Station.
