Red Deer and surrounding areas remain under heat warning
A Heat Warning remains in place for most of Alberta, including the Red Deer region.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says hot temperatures will continue Thursday, with daytime highs near or above 30 degrees Celsius. Overnight lows will be near 14 degrees Celsius tonight into Thursday morning. Cooler temperatures are forecast on Friday.
Residents of and visitors to the warned regions are advised to take the following precautions to protect themselves, their families and their neighbours:
– Consider rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler hours of the day.
