Safe Harbour again looking for new executive director

Red Deer-based Safe Harbour Society, which provides various services, mainly to those experiencing addiction and homelessness, is again searching for a new executive director.

Following a weekend post to social media that was later deleted, Safe Harbour confirms to rdnewsNOW that Perry Goddard has left the organization.

Goddard took over as executive director in August 2024; that followed the departure of Kath Hoffman, who had been at the helm since 2005.

“The board of Safe Harbour is actively recruiting for a new executive director and we hope to have someone in place soon,” says Board Chair Kathy Schepp.

“We want to reassure the community that our board, leadership team and phenomenal staff are continuing to offer compassionate care to anyone needing shelter, detox or the services of our diversion team.”
