Dress for Success Alberta receives funding to improve inventory management system

May 17, 2025 | 11:47 AM

Dress for Success Central Alberta will use recent allocated funding to improve the capacity and efficiency of their inventory management system.

The non-profit organization says improving how they manage clothing donations has been on the top of their priority list.

This comes after they were selected by the 100+ Women Who Care to receive funding this week. They’re a network of women in Red Deer who support local non-profit organizations.

“They identified the need to reconfigure their inventory room to maximize its potential, increase the capacity to offer a wide selection of clothing to suit their clients’ diverse needs, and ensure functional storage,” as written in a media release.

Last year, Dress for Success Central Alberta served 600 women, which was an increase from the 200 served in 2023.

Dressing Services, one of their main programs, helped over 250 women have the opportunity to be dressed in professional attire for a job interview, work, or special suitings.

“Thanks to this funding Dress for Success Central Alberta will be able to improve their inventory management system and better serve their clients,” they added.

Dress for Success Central Alberta is soliciting proposals for a vendor to reconfigure their inventory room and create functional storage solutions.

The request for proposal can be found on their website: www.dfsca.ca/news. Proposals must be submitted to Dress for Success Central Alberta by Friday, June 6 .
