MAY 18 - REGISTRATION OPEN

Woody’s Marathon runs new course for 25th year

May 8, 2025 | 1:35 PM

Lace up your sneakers and get ready, get set and go to the 25th edition of Woody’s RV World Marathon.

The race kicks off May 18 and runners can choose to compete in a full marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km or kids’ race.

Registration ranges from $25-95 depending on your race and can be done online until midnight on May 15. Last minute registrations can be done in person on May 17 at the race package pick up.

This is a non-profit event and all registration fees go toward hosting it, explained treasurer Curtis Marquart.

“We just want to see everybody active and healthy,” he said. “We’ve been doing that for 25 years, supporting runners and their goals.”

Participants can enjoy treats and refreshments after the race.

There are about 1,100 people registered so far, with more expected to pour in during the final few days, Marquart said.

One notable change for the event’s 25th anniversary is its main route. Due to construction on the CP Rail pedestrian bridge, a highlight of the past courses, the new route will instead wind through Three Mile Bend and the River Bend Golf and Recreation Area.

As a result, this year’s event is unfortunately not a Boston Qualifier course.
