Red Deer RCMP respond to alleged stabbing in Eastview

Red Deer RCMP are looking for a suspect following an alleged stabbing incident in the Eastview neighbourhood Thursday morning.

At 7:52 a.m., Mounties received a report of a stabbing victim outside of the Circle K convenience store on Ross Street.

An investigation revealed the victim ran to the business after the alleged incident happened at a nearby residence on 46 Street and 38 Avenue.

The victim, a 34-year-old man from Red Deer, was attacked and ultimately stabbed in his own home. He was taken to hospital and airlifted to another hospital for further treatment.

The investigation is currently ongoing and police do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public at this time. They do not have a description of the suspect but will provide one if it becomes available.
