Youth HQ gets big donation from Piper Creek Optimist Club
The Piper Creek Optimist Club (PCOC) is making a sizeable five-year commitment to Youth HQ.
With a commitment to support organizations focused on children, the club is donating $30,000 split over the next five years to support Youth HQ’s array of programming, specifically at its building in Parkvale.
That includes Learn On, which is a homework club; and Chef Nation, which is a cooking program that teaches about culture, as well as skills such as budgeting, planning, and health.
“This is just one of many ways in which the Piper Creek Optimist Club continues to support BGC and Youth HQ programming. We greatly appreciate and value of friends at the Piper Creek Optimist Club,” says John Johnston, community engagement manager, Youth HQ.
