UPDATE: Sylvan Lake RCMP investigating fatal crash

UPDATE: April 29, 2025, 11:40 a.m.

Two people have passed away following a crash west of Sylvan Lake Monday.

On April 28, 2025, at 2:13 p.m. Sylvan Lake RCMP responded to a multi vehicle collision on Highway 11 at Range Road 35.

Upon arrival, Mounties say emergency responders located two deceased people in one vehicle, a 29-year-old and a 58-year-old, both female residents of Rocky Mountain House. According to police, two other individuals from a pick up were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation, and say their investigation continues.

UPDATE: 12:32 A.M., April 29, 2025

Sylvan Lake RCMP is advising that the collision scene is now clear and normal traffic has resumed.

Sylvan Lake RCMP are on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 near Range Road 35.

Mounties say traffic in both directions on Highway 11 is currently being redirected.

Police anticipate remaining on scene for several hours.

An update is anticipated.
