Smile Cookie Campaign kicks off on April 28

Apr 25, 2025 | 8:00 AM

We’re less than a week away from the return of the Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign.

From April 28 to May 4, 100 per cent of the proceeds from Smile Cookie sales will be donated to over 600 charities and community groups across the country, which are selected by the restaurant owners.

The smile cookies are created from Tim’s new chocolate chunk cookies that are decorated with pink and blue icing.

To support the campaign, guests can visit their local Tim Hortons or place an order through the Tim’s app for delivery.

All of the locations in Red Deer will go toward supporting the Foundation for Red Deer Public Schools Reading College.

On May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon, the City of Red Deer Emergency Services, RCMP, and Alberta Sheriffs will be at the Tim Horton’s location in Timberlands at 20 Thomlison Ave. to show off their vehicles and equipment.

This is to help promote the campaign and interact with the community. In addition, Lindsay Thurber High School teacher, Jason Zackowski will also be there to show off a few science experiments and skills.

In Blackfalds, proceeds will go to support the local food bank and in Sylvan Lake, the sales will go towards supporting Sylvan Lake Urgent Care.

Elsewhere, the locations in Penhold will support the Penhold Youth Centre and in Innisfail, the Innisfail Health Centre.

In Rocky Mountain House, they’ll support the Rocky Health Foundation and in Rimbey, the Rimbey Boys and Girls Club.

Finally, in Lacombe, proceeds will go towards Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lacombe and in Ponoka, the Ponoka Youth Centre.

You can view the map of the campaign, which states what charities are being supported in every community.
