Over 21,000 people voted at advance polls in Red Deer
Elections Canada has released preliminary data for voter turnout at advance polls by electoral district with nearly 22,000 people casting their vote in the Red Deer riding.
The advance polls were open April 18-21, giving residents a chance to vote ahead of the 45th general election set for Monday, April 28.
Elections Canada estimates 7.3 million people voted at advance polls, which is a 25 per cent increase from the 5.8 million at advance polls during the last election in 2021. The days with the most votes at advance polls were days one and four, with over two million voters, including 2,054,525 last Friday and 2,100,273 on Monday.
The riding of Red Deer had 21,733 voters at the polls, meanwhile, Ponoka-Didsbury had 27,715, Yellowhead had 27,666, and Battle River-Crowfoot had 14,434 voters.
