CAPCC to host third annual Ladies Afternoon Tea in benefit of The Aerie

Apr 23, 2025 | 3:13 PM

The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre will host its third annual Ladies Afternoon Tea next month.

On May 31, guests are invited to the CrossRoads Church Chapel in Red Deer from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. where they’ll not only drink tea, but enjoy pastries to help raise money for the Pregnancy Care Centre’s maternity home, The Aerie.

The Aerie is the Care Centre’s maternity home that can hold up to 11 young women and their babies. The home is staffed 24/7 and offers a nurturing home for pregnant mothers as well as mothers and babies.

It’s a two-phased program, that begins with eligible residents during pregnancy. The second phase begins when their infant is around six months old. However, residents who meet program outcomes can stay until their child is two-years-old as they continue to pursue education or employment.

The Central Alberta pregnancy Care Centre offers free services and programs to families impacted by unexpected pregnancy including compassionate support and education. The services and programs are also confidential and are offered in a safe environment.

Those in need can access various support services within the Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House, and Stettler communities.

These include pregnancy options support, male mentorship, baby and maternity clothing, post-abortion support, support for past sexual abuse/trauma, parenting programs, education on healthy relationships, and referrals for community resources.
