Trial date set for Red Deer man accused in alleged knife incidents downtown
A trial date has been set for a local man charged in a pair of incidents involving a knife in downtown Red Deer last year.
Drake Edward Davidson, 19, of Red Deer, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer Court of Justice on June 2, 2025.
He faces counts of assault with a weapon, assault, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose in regards to the May 21, 2024, incident.
According to Red Deer RCMP, at 11:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a downtown pedestrian being chased by a man with a knife along 58 Street. No injuries were reported, however.
