McHappy Day set for May 8 in benefit of RMHC

McHappy Day is right around the corner.

On Thursday, May 8, McDonald’s restaurants across Canada, including in Red Deer, will donate a portion of their sales from McHappy Day to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This year marks the 31st year the organization has held the event and it is their longest running initiative, where over 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants take part.

In a media release, McDonald’s says one in four Canadians has either stayed at Ronald McDonald House Charities or knows someone who has.

The RMHC network of programs in Canada helps — on average — more than 26,000 families from over 3,400 Canadian communities stay close to their sick child and get the care they need.
