U12s at Red Deer’s Premier Academy win national cheer gold

Red Deer’s Premier Academy is celebrating a gold medal at 2025 Canadian Nationals, held in Niagara Falls earlier this month.

The first place finish went to the U12 Level 1 cheer team, and marks the academy’s first ever national title.

“We are incredibly proud of this team and everything they’ve accomplished,” said Riana Luck, owner.

“To bring home the first national title in our program’s history is something we’ll never forget. These athletes have trained with heart and determination all season long, and their success on the national stage is truly well-deserved.”

With the win, the team qualified for the Canadian Cheer Finals, an invite-only event featuring top scoring teams from nationals. At that bonus stage, Red Deer found the podium again, placing third.
