UNITED PARTY OF CANADA

Candidate profile: Grant Abraham (United) – Ponoka-Didsbury

Apr 14, 2025 | 9:34 AM

This is a candidate profile for the April 28, 2025 federal election.

All candidates have been asked the same four questions, and were given a 600-word limit.

Responses are unedited for grammar and spelling, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of rdnewsNOW and Pattison Media.

Advance voting days are April 18, 19, 20 and 21. More info here.

1) Why are you running to be a Member of Parliament?

I’m running because Canada is at a breaking point—and no one in Ottawa is telling the truth about it. We’re being steered into a post-national, globalist agenda that weakens our sovereignty, erodes our values, and leaves working Canadians behind. I’m not a career politician. I’m running to give Canadians a voice that says: enough. Enough corruption. Enough censorship. Enough being governed by unelected global bodies like the UN and WEF. It’s time to reforge this country—to protect our families, restore our freedoms, and put Canadians first again. I’m here to be a clear, unapologetic voice for those who feel politically homeless.

2) Why should people vote for you, and what skills do you have that make you suitable for this role?

I’m not offering polished slogans or hollow promises—I’m offering clarity, conviction, and a willingness to get to the root of the issues when everyone else is only worrying about symptoms.

I’ve spent my life standing up for truth when it’s inconvenient and for people when it’s unpopular. I bring discipline, courage, and a deep understanding of how our institutions are being undermined—and a commitment to fight for our children’s future. Voters should choose me because I won’t bend to party spin or media pressure. I will fight for them and say what needs to be said, not what’s safe to say. We need fewer career politicians and more real people with backbone and principles. That’s what I bring—and I will not be silenced.

3) What will you advocate for; and do you intend to fully toe the party line?

I’ll advocate for Canadian sovereignty, secure borders, the protection of life and family, and a return to common sense. I’m proud to stand with the United Party of Canada because we’re the only party talking honestly about the foundational issues—whether it’s economic reform, restoring parental rights, or ending our submission to globalist mandates. I will stand with the party because our platform is built on truth. But if any policy ever contradicts conscience or undermines the Canadian people, I will not toe any line. I answer to my constituents and to the values that built this country.

4) How do you believe Canada’s federal government should tackle its current predicament with the United States, and where do you sit on Canadian sovereignty?

Let’s be clear: the United States isn’t our problem—our broken government is. Our biased media is. The fact that we won’t tackle the organized crime behind fentanyl production and human trafficking is. President Trump isn’t asking us to fix our eggs or dairy. He’s asking us to clean up fentanyl production, human trafficking, and crime pouring across our borders. And instead of dealing with that, our leaders throw tantrums and talk tariffs.

I stand for sovereignty—but real sovereignty starts with responsibility. If we don’t clean up our backyard, someone else will. I support strong, independent Canadian sovereignty—free from foreign interference and globalist treaties. That means exiting the UN, WHO, and WEF, ending illegal border crossings, defending the Arctic, and putting Canadians first—always.
