Red Deer RCMP have made multiple arrests following a series of search warrants executed on April 1.

That day, RCMP were notified of an individual, allegedly wanted on outstanding warrants, believed to be in the Red Deer area.

Officers located the person’s vehicle at a north end hotel, and arrested the suspect under a Feeney warrant.

Adam Zinger, a 41-year old resident of Patricia, Alberta, was arrested for outstanding warrants based out of Brooks, Alberta; these warrants include:

  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats
  • Fail to comply

While officers were on scene, they say a stolen vehicle was observed in the parking lot. A separate warrant was obtained and as a result, Michael Melin, a 50-year-old resident of Leduc County, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Breach Release Order

Michael Melin was released on an undertaking, with conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on May 28, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

Brooks GIS, Red Deer GIS, Red Deer CRT, Police Dog Services, Air Services, the Emergency Response Team and Red Deer RCMP General Duty officers all assisted on this matter.
