RDP rodeo team to host Canadian Collegiate Rodeo Finals

The Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) Kings and Queens rodeo team will host the Canadian Collegiate Rodeo Finals for the first time in 10 years.

From May 15-18 the Finals will return to central Alberta bringing the best rodeo college athletes from across Canada to the Rimbey Agrim Centre.

In total, six of RDP’s 11 athletes will compete in the finals after an outstanding performance during the 2024-25 season.

This includes Taylor Cholach (barrel racing) from Botha, Elyse Terpsma (pole bending) from Alhambra, Casey Thomson (bareback) from Longview, Ryan Collett (tie down roping and steer wrestling) from Beaverlodge, Garrett Cullum (steer wrestling) from Three Hills, and Chad Cooper (tie down roping) from Beaverlodge.
