Blackfalds Stuff a Bus event seeks non-perishable food donations

In support of local food bank programs, Blackfalds residents are invited to the annual Stuff a Bus fundraiser, taking place on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event aims to collect non-perishable food items for the Beyond Food Community Hub, the Blackfalds Food bank and Blackfalds Family and Community Support Services.

School buses will be stationed at two locations to receive donations:

• IGA (6005 Parkwood Road)
• Save On Foods (4500 Blackfalds Crossing Way, #105)

“We are calling on the generosity of our community to help stock the shelves of our local food banks,” said Brenda Dennis. “Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity in Blackfalds.”

Residents are encouraged to donate items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal and other pantry staples. Monetary donations can also be made directly to the Blackfalds Food Bank.
