Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Thomas Neu has been named one of the British Columbia Hockey League’s (BCHL) Three Stars of the Week.

Neu has been honoured as the third star after an impressive stretch that saw him tie the lead league in points last week with five.

He lit the lamp with two goals and added three assists in a couple Bulldogs victories.

In a 7-3 win on Friday over the Sherwood Park Crusaders he achieved a new personal high with three assists.

The next day he found the back of the net twice including one on a penalty shot in a 4-3 victory over the Spruce Grove Saints. It was his first-ever multi-goal game in the BCHL.

As the regular season came to an end, Neu finished with nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 33 games. The Bulldogs did not make the playoffs.

In addition, the first star was awarded to Chilliwack Chiefs forward Dustin Renas (five points) and the second star was given to Cranbrook Bucks forward Patrick Murphy (five points).
