AJHL names All-Academic team and Community Ambassadors

The Alberta Junior Hockey League announced the players named to their 2025 All-Academic Team and the 2024-25 AJHL Community Ambassadors.

A total of 12 players were selected to the All-Academic Team, who each demonstrated qualities of an exceptional student-athlete.

The All-Academic Team recognizes players who are dedicated to their studies at either the high school or post-secondary level. Their grades also reflect their academic success.

The following players have been named to the All-Academic Team including Alex Coventry (Bonnyville Pontiacs), Jack Plandowski (Calgary Canucks), Tyson Murray (Camrose Kodiaks), Liam Magnuson (Canmore Eagles), Jaxson Martin (Devon Xtreme), Matthias Bessey (Drayton Valley Thunder), Will McLaughlin (Drumheller Dragons), Carter Schmidt (Fort McMurray Oil Barons), Kailus Green (Grande Prairie Storm), Dylan Deets (Lloydminster Bobcats), Aiden Knutson (Olds Grizzlys), and Xavier Lacoste (Whitecourt Wolverines.

In addition, they named 12 players as RBC Community Ambassadors, who were nominated for their work in the community.

Those selected give back through volunteering and inspire their teammates to give back to the community. Two of the nominees will also be selected for a $1,000 scholarship from RBC.

The players named as ambassadors includes Jordan Schanbacher (Bonnyville Pontiacs), Bowden Singleton (Calgary Canucks), AJ Schaaf (Camrose Kodiaks), Alex Scheiwiller (Canmore Eagles), Xander Schulte (Devon Xtreme), Luke Marley (Drayton Valley Thunder ), Aiden Connell (Drumheller Dragons), Ryan Arnold (Fort McMurray Oil Barons), Will Harris (Grande Prairie Storm), Jamie Weller (Lloydminster Bobcats), Hunter Motley (Olds Grizzlys), and Braden Keeble (Whitecourt Wolverines).
