Pigeon Lake residents pocket $100,050 in lotto win

Two Pigeon Lake residents are now $100,050 richer after securing an EXTRA win in the Jan. 15 draw.

Helene and David K. play WESTERN 649 and EXTRA twice a week and often check their tickets together.

“I kept looking up each number and they matched one by one,” Helene said. “I was so excited but I waited until Dave came home from work so we could do it together.”

The two have exciting plans for the cash.

“I want to build a chicken coop,” smiled Helene. “We’ve got the space for it!”

David added, the pair is also considering purchasing a new four-season trailer.

The $100,050 prize came with two free plays as well.

The duo purchased their ticket from Sandholm Corner Store at 47404 Highway 778 in Thorsby.
