Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools has announced a new faith theme that will guide the divisions students, staff, and families through the 2025-2028 academic years.

The new theme called, “Anchored in Faith,” will be implemented each year focusing on a different aspect including Guided by Grace, Uplifted by Hope, and Transformed by Love.

This theme is aimed at fostering a deeper connection to faith and promoting spiritual growth within the RDCRS community.

“Our new Faith Theme, ‘Anchored in Faith,’ encapsulates the core values that shape our educational mission,” said RDCRS Board Chair Murray Hollman in a media release. “We believe that by focusing on grace, hope, and love, we will empower our students to not only excel academically but also to grow as compassionate and faith-filled individuals.”

Guided by Grace will be introduced in year one from 2025-26, which will focus on emphasizing the importance of recognizing and appreciating God’s grace, fostering a spirit of gratitude and compassion.

Secondly, Uplifted by Hope, will go ahead in year two from 2026-27, and will focus on hope, encouraging students to embrace optimism and persevere through challenges with faith.

In year three, they’ll transition to Transformed by Love from 2027-28 and will focus on the transformative power of love, inspiring students to embody Christ’s love in their interactions and actions.

“We are excited to embark on this spiritual journey with our students and families,” added Jo-Ann Kelly, RDCRS Religious Education and Curriculum Support Lead Teacher. “We believe that ‘Anchored in Faith’ will provide a strong foundation for our community, empowering us to live out our faith in meaningful ways.”
