One deceased in early morning crash near Rimbey

One person has died following a collision Monday morning about 12 km northwest of Rimbey.
It’s believed that at about 5:20 a.m., a black Chevrolet Avalanche went through a T-intersection and crashed into a grove of trees and a cable box, near Range Road 33 and Township Road 430.
Police say the victim, who died on scene, is a 57-year-old woman from Rimbey.
Rimbey RCMP remained on scene for several hours to conduct their investigation. The circumstances of the collision are still under investigation, but the RCMP are now clear from the scene.
