Lindsay Thurber improv teams bring medal-worthy laughs to provincial competitions
Improv teams from Ecole Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School brought their best laughs to two recent provincial competitions, and walked away with medals.
The Nosebowl Team secured a silver medal at the Wildfire Festival, while the Canadian Improv Games Team earned a bronze medal, highlighting the dedication and creativity of these young performers.
“Nosebowl is always very fun,” said Tara Koett, teacher. “Theatresports is a really fun format for kids. It encourages risk-taking and play. There is a lot of freedom in how they meet challenges, how they play the game, and it’s teaching them a lot about crowd work, and about the shape of a show as improvisers and as comedians.”
Chris Good, Principal at Lindsay Thurber, also praised the students for their outstanding performances.
