Referees come together for benefit breakfast in Red Deer

Feb 19, 2025 | 12:52 PM

A special upcoming hockey-themed event will benefit Bridges Community Living and the Red Deer Dream Centre.

The morning of March 26, the Black & White and Always Right Breakfast brings together referees, fans and community leaders for some inspiring conversation, connection and celebration.

The event will be hosted at Bo’s Bar and Stage from 6:30 to 8 a.m, and feature a hot stove on what it’s like to be a referee.

Hosted by Kevin Watson of the Olds Grizzlys, the hot stove will include NHL and Olympics veteran referee, Mike Cvik, and other officials who’ll share their positive and negative experiences.

Sponsorship for the event is available now by contacting Brent LaBrosse or Myles Peake. Early registration is encouraged, as seating is limited. Tickets will go on sale March 3, 2025.

For more information, or sponsorship opportunities, contact Brent at Brent@bridgescl.ca or Myles m.p@globalphilanthropic.ca.

Bridges Community Living helps low to moderate income individuals aged 65+ in the Red Deer area transition into safe, comfortable, affordable living spaces that they can call home. The Red Deer Dream Centre is a long-term, clinical drug and alcohol recovery facility.
