Nominations open for Mayor’s Recognition Awards

Nominations have opened for the City of Red Deer’s 2025 Mayor’s Recognition Awards.

The awards spotlight individuals, groups and teams who have made a special contribution that has brought honour and recognition to Red Deer.

Nominations close on Feb. 24, at 9 a.m. and anyone who lives in or contributes to the Red Deer community is eligible.

There are five award categories:

• Athletics
• Community Builder Award
• Distinguished Voluntary Service
• Fine & Performing Arts
• Mayor’s Special Award

Award recipients will be selected by the Mayor’s Recognition Awards Committee, except for the Mayor’s Special Award winner, which is selected by the Mayor.
