Red Deer reports upcoming traffic disruptions

The City of Red Deer would like to inform residents of two upcoming traffic disruptions beginning Jan. 29.

From 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 to 5 a.m. on Jan. 30, utility services will be working along 50 Avenue from 46 Street to 42 Street. As a result, three lanes of 50 Avenue (Gaetz Avenue) will be closed in the southbound lane.

Additionally, EL&P will be working along 43 Street between 54 Avenue and 55 Avenue from Jan. 29 to Feb. 12.

Daily lane closures and detours will be in place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to allow crews to safely replace electric poles. Detours are expected to be removed nightly for traffic flow.
