Alberta RCMP warn motorists of poor driving conditions

The Alberta RCMP are advising of poor driving conditions across the province because of freezing rain.
In many areas across central and northern Alberta, the freezing rain has caused numerous collisions and police say motorists should avoid non-essential travel.
They also ask the public to ensure they check Alberta 511 for up-to-date road conditions before traveling.
According to Alberta 511 as of 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, there were reports of a motor vehicle collision headign westbound near Highway 11. Motorists can expect traffic delays and should drive with caution.
