On Jan. 8, 2025, 21-year-old Red Deer resident Quinlan Louis Bradford was arrested by the Blackfalds RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS), with assistance from the Sylvan Lake (GIS) and Blackfalds General Duty officers.

Police also executed a search warrant and allegedly located items used in the robbery, including masks and an airsoft handgun.

Bradford has been charged with:

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Disguise with intent
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Discharge a firearm with intent
  • Using a firearm in the commission of an offence

He was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Jan. 9, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

“This was an extremely effective investigation after a very brazen armed robbery,” said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff. “Alberta RCMP units from Blackfalds, Innisfail, Sylvan Lake, and Red Deer contributed to this successful operation.”

RCMP made their first arrest in relation to the case on Dec. 17, 2024, and said they are not looking for any additional suspects.
