Ponoka man accused of human trafficking and sexual assault, scheduled for sentencing
A Ponoka man accused of human trafficking and sexual assault is scheduled for sentencing on some of his matters next year.
Christopher Becks, 38, is scheduled for sentencing in Edmonton Court of King’s Bench on March 5, 2025.
His matters for sentencing include charges of trafficking of a person under the age of eighteen years, procuring person under 18 years, material benefit from sexual services provided by person under 18 years, advertise sexual services, and publication of intimate image without consent.
Becks also has two jury trials scheduled for two other related matters. One is from May 12-16, 2025, in Edmonton Court of King’s Bench, and the other from Sept. 8-12, 2025, in Wetaskiwin Court of King’s Bench.
