Red Deer home sales lower in November and year-over-year

Red Deer home sales were lower in November when compared to the month before and the same month last year.

According to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 110 units sold in November, down from 134 units sold in October, and 122 units sold in November 2023.

Year-to-date numbers show 1,736 units sold in Red Deer so far this year, down slightly from 1,744 units sold during the first 11 months of last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer in November was $380,680, up from $363,528 in October, and $335,706 in November 2023.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was not available.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 341 units sold last month, down from 432 units sold in October, but up from 335 units sold in November 2023.

Year-to-date figures show 5,207 units sold throughout the region so far this year, up from 4,819 units sold during the first 11 months of 2023.

The average sale price throughout central Alberta last month was $408,058, up from $397,642 in October, and $364,371 in November of last year.

The average number of days to sell a home in central Alberta last month was 55 days, down from 57 days in October, but slightly higher than 53 days in November 2023.
