4-H clubs across Canada benefit from FCC grants

A total of 48 4-H clubs around Alberta are set to receive money from the 2024 FCC 4-H Club Fund, it was announced Tuesday.

The fund grants groups up to $500, with over $1 million given to 2,100+ clubs across Canada since its creation in 2013.

“FCC is proud to support 4-H Canada and its programs, including through the FCC 4-H Club Fund,” said Justine Hendricks, FCC president and CEO.

“4-H Canada exemplifies the character, hard work, and innovation that drives the success of Canada’s agriculture industry. We are grateful for the work 4-H does in providing exceptional programming to support the next generation of producers.”

4-H Canada interim CEO, Hugh Maynard, added that 4-H continues to build the next generation of leaders in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Central Alberta clubs to receive funding include:

Alder Flats Hoof & Woof (Buck Lake)

Big West Cruizers (Drayton Valley)

Central Lacombe Beef (Blackfalds/Lacombe)

Kneehill Valley Beef Club (Red Deer County)

Lacombe 4-H Outsiders Club (Lacombe)

Noble Riders (Red Deer County)

Northwest Stars 4-H Multi Club (Drayton Valley)

Ponoka 4-H Renegade Riders (Ponoka)

Rangeland 4-H Been Club (Red Deer County)

Red Deer 4-H Horsemen (Lacombe)

Silver Valley 4-H Riders (Ponoka)

West Central 4-H Alumni (Blackfalds)

West Central Wranglers (Red Deer County)

West Ponoka 4-H Beef (Ponoka)
